"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I thought I'd update my journal, to let you know that I'm still here in deviantART and working on my artwork. --- I have wonderful news!
I expected my senior year in high school to be very difficult, considering the classes I picked in preparation for my future career, but it turned out that it's rather light. For the first time in years, I'm able to have quite some free time for my art, being able to work on a little everyday. (In the past, I only drew once every several months, which was utter torture.) Therefore, every once in a while you will see a piece in my "Current projects" list draw closer to completion. ^__^
Right now, though, I'm busy applying for colleges. It is recommended that I finish by Thanksgiving. So I decided to halt my artwork and focus solely on that. After that's done, I'll be able to return to my art. ^__^
I've been working on two major pieces--you might've seen one increase in completion over the months--plus a few sketches and doodles, so after I finish applying for colleges, I'll submit the sketches and doodles if they're done. ^__^
Check up on my "Current projects" list from time to time, as I update that more often than I write new journal entries.
